Our Ongoing Projects
At Jason and Thurman Support Foundation (JTSF), our projects are designed to empower individuals, transform communities, and create sustainable impact. Here are some of the key initiatives we are actively implementing across Uganda:
Cleveland Hill Primary School
An inclusive, community-based school established to provide quality education to underprivileged and orphaned children.
Location: Kyebando Kisalosalo Kampala District
Impact: Over 800 children currently enrolled; Every year about 200 bursaries are awarded in this school.
Menstrual Hygiene Management Program
Promoting menstrual health awareness and dignity for school-going girls through education and distribution of hygiene kits.
Reach: 56 schools in Kassanda District received menstrual sanitary kits.
Goal: To reduce school absenteeism and stigma among adolescent girls.
Early Childhood Development & Nutrition Sensitization
Providing good nutrition in different schools in Kassanda District as a means of improving the students welfare.
Safe Spaces & Counseling sessions
Offering psychosocial support and a safe environment for youths of gender-based violence, street children, and youth recovering from trauma or substance abuse.
Services: Trauma counseling, life skills training, rehabilitation
Inclusive Sports & Co-Curricular Engagement
Providing children with opportunities to grow through play, sports, and team-building activities e.g scouting etc.
Schools Reached: 16
Focus: Encouraging both boys and girls to participate equally in extracurricular activities.
School Feeding Advocacy
We work with local leaders and schools to promote school feeding programs that enhance attendance and concentration in class.
Impact: Policy discussions held in local government forums and school boards.
Children’s Center in Kassanda
A newly established community center serving as a hub for learning, recreation, and youth support.
Facilities: Library, counseling room, play area, and vocational skills training room.
Water Access and Sanitation Projects
Supporting schools and communities with safe and clean water sources through borehole construction and hygiene education.
Target: Hard-to-reach and water-scarce villages
Early Marriage and Teenage Pregnancy Campaign
Raising awareness in schools and communities about the dangers of child marriage and early pregnancies.
Approach: Dialogue meetings, community radio talk shows, school campaigns
